Haley Loves the Swingin' Medallions

Haley and her daddy came to see me for her first 4-H Alumni event. This one was at Rock Eagle and we had the Swingin' Medallions. It was so much fun with over 200 people there. Haley loved the music and of course all of the attention that came with it since she was among the youngest at the party. Haley did seem a little worried when it looked like things were getting a little crazy on stage. Although I think the saxophone player was the one who was most worried!Haley was a trooper and was not fussy the entire night, despite all of the noise, lights, people staring at her, offering to hold her, tickling her feet, well you get the picture. It was a fun night and Mike did a great job of getting everything taken care of while mommy was at work!Haley was proud of her daddy too who sold several prints of his Rock Eagle drawing at the event. He just launched his website also: www.parsonsartanddesign.com. Go check it out! Go daddy!

Haley is Standing!

Haley is really getting the hang of standing and playing. We got her a new learning table and she loves it! Funny thing is she always wants what is on the other side to play with! She loves jumping when she knows you have her hands held good and tight! She is a little dare devil though. She even took about 5 steps last night with you holding her hand. It was precious. She is growing so fast!

Goofy Girl!

Haley has been having a ball lately playing on the bed. Mike caught some of her crazy behavior on video (I apologize for the poor quality but all he could get to at the time was his camera phone).

Fourth of July at the Lake

We had a great time at the lake for the 4th of July. Haley LOVED the fireworks. Our friends across the lake once again did not disappoint with an amazing fireworks display. Haley anxiously awaited each display and did not get scared at all. Big girl! We bought a new pool for Haley and it was fun to get her in it (although it was a little cool for our first dip in it!)

I love relaxing in the hammock and apparently Miss Haley does too!

After a long day in the sun, Haley relaxed on grandpa!Haley loves her new toy and loved that we thought to take it on the boat! Could she be any happier?

We loved spending time with Steve and Laurie. It was the first time they met her and it was really cool to see them. Haley has her very own Laurie Bear to treasure now!

Fun weekend! Love you guys!

Doin' the Haley Dance

Haley has developed her own way of dancing. She watched the bali dancing on So You Think You Can Dance and I think she was inspired. Thought you all could use a laugh...

PS-Haley's first words are "ma-ma". Yeah! :) Of course it is just a noise she is making and she does not address me with it, but I can dream can't I?

Look Who's Sitting Up!

Haley has been "able" to sit up for several weeks now. What she lacked was the desire to actually do it. She would get frustrated and arch her back wanting to recline to her usual position. Finally the last few days we have been working with her and she finally sees it at something fun to do. Last night we had a blast watching her sit up and play. I am sure she will have it mastered by the end of the weekend. I am so proud of her!

Our Little Firecracker

As we celebrate Independence Day this year it is even more meaningful to have a little girl with us who we know will grow to love this country and her freedom as much as Mike and I do. In celebration of this holiday and her 7 month birthday, my friend Blane Marable took some photos for us to capture our little "firecracker".

Of course I had to get a few photos with that precious little girl. She was such a trooper and smiled for 98% of the photos, which with Blane taking them was quite a few! (Thanks Blane!):)How can I ever say no to that sweet face?
Happy Independence Day to all!
