Down on the Farm

Haley had a blast on a recent trip to Bainbridge. She got to ride in papa's brand new tractor! As you can see, she had a BALL!! We think it is quite appropriate that our child was dressed in a rock star onesie while she was on the farm. Just demonstrates the blending of our personalities! Also, here is a video that we took of her first ride in papa's mule. She had quite the time calling cows. It was so cute because she held her papa's hand the entire time and was so patient as we drove around looking at cows! So fun! Can't wait to get her one!

All Hallows Eve and Haley Bug

I am such a slacker that I have not updated the blog in a while. Sorry, been very busy at work and at home lately. I will do several posts of Halloween, some from Bainbridge with the grandparents, and her family photo shoot of her at one year and her ladybug birthday party! Below are some photos from Halloween this year. We went to Bainbridge and went trick or treating in Donalsonville where my sister lives. Haley dressed as sunflower and Jackson (her cousin) was Kermit the Frog. There are also some professional photos I had taken before Halloween that are included that shows her princess outfit that I had gotten her. It was too cold that night for her to wear that but the sunflower turned out really cute anyway! It was really fun going door to door with her. She wasn't scared of all the spooky decorations at all!
Check out the Elmo pumpkin! I think Mike did a great job carving it out. Of course he said it "couldn't be done" when I shared my hare brained idea, but as you can see, he pulled it off!

Haley Bug is turning One!

Haley turns one in 15 days!! We can't believe how fast our little baby girl has grown up! All of my blogger friends are invited to her first birthday party. We chose a ladybug theme since we call her Haley Bug all of the time. It is going to be fun. Just let me know if you are coming. We are excited to see what the next year will bring us!!

Haley the Explorer

Haley decided that she suddenly LOVES her walker that we bought for her a couple of months ago. Previously, she only knew the "reverse" function of the walker, but over the weekend, this little bundle of joy figured out how to go forward, maneuver, you name it!! Check out the video and pay close attention to all of our encouragement and especially Mike running to catch her as she raced for the end of the hall!! Haley is 11 months old now and we just can't believe how fast she is growing!!

Haley's First Day in the Big Girl room!

Today was a bitter sweet day for me...Haley moved up to the "Walkers" room at daycare!! (Note the first photo is from the online web camera. She is the one standing up holding on to the rocking chair). She transitioned all week last week and today was her first full day. There are some nice ladies in there that will take care of her, but seeing all of those other kids walking around in there made me realize that she is not a baby anymore and is growing up!! I can't believe it but I know she seems so happy in there. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure of her first day.
Did I mention that Haley LOVES to eat these days? We can't seem to keep enough food in front of her. She is trying to catch up I guess!

Mozart in the Making??

Haley's favorite toy these days is a pot and a wooden spoon so that she can demonstrate her superior musical abilities to her mommy and daddy. She is quite vocal these days, saying mama mostly and has finally gotten da da down too! She is crawling all over the place and standing up on everything. It is so much fun though! At 10 months and counting, she is growing up way too fast!

Haley Loves the Swingin' Medallions

Haley and her daddy came to see me for her first 4-H Alumni event. This one was at Rock Eagle and we had the Swingin' Medallions. It was so much fun with over 200 people there. Haley loved the music and of course all of the attention that came with it since she was among the youngest at the party. Haley did seem a little worried when it looked like things were getting a little crazy on stage. Although I think the saxophone player was the one who was most worried!Haley was a trooper and was not fussy the entire night, despite all of the noise, lights, people staring at her, offering to hold her, tickling her feet, well you get the picture. It was a fun night and Mike did a great job of getting everything taken care of while mommy was at work!Haley was proud of her daddy too who sold several prints of his Rock Eagle drawing at the event. He just launched his website also: www.parsonsartanddesign.com. Go check it out! Go daddy!
