Our first tooth!
Today was a milestone! Not only was it Haley's 7 month birthday, but she has her first tooth! Poor thing has been battling it for days on top of an ear infection but she is so happy tonight at her little accomplishment! It is her bottom front left one. Our little girl is growing up! She weighed 16 lb. 11 oz. at the doctor on Monday. Big girl! She is so awesome.

Our Little Beach Bum
Day One of the vacation and Haley has already proven she is a beach bum...
Haley had a great set up with the beach tent. She took many naps as she listened to the waves. It was very relaxing!
Haley showed off her skills of rolling over to her tummy to everyone on the beach.
We got Haley an umbrella stroller to use on the beach. She loved it, especially when it would make noise going down the boardwalk.
Haley and her daddy on the beach...
Haley and her mama on the beach...
Since the pool was not warm enough to get in, we decided to take a dip in the hot tub.
Somebody learned how to splash while she was on vacation...
We bought her a raft that made noises when you hit it. She loved it, even in the hot tub!

Papa had a great time with his two grandkids. Jackson did a great job of entertaining Haley while we were home. Haley just laughed and laughed at him all through the night. It was really cute.
Haley developed quite the appetite while we were on vacation. This was our first night home and she was busy studying papa while he ate his cake. This was just the beginning. The rest of the week we couldn't eat without her fussing wanting some too!
While on vacation we had to be creative with her bath options so we bathed her in the sink to the camper! It was really funny. She had a great time making a mess splashing water everywhere!
Haley's first time seeing the ocean...
Don't we all love to put our feet in the sand?
We decided to take a family photo on the beach at sunset. We are so lucky to have each other!

Mmmmm...I love Sweet Potatoes! Haley's First Foods
Haley has been on rice cereal for some time now. After I saw the pediatrician she encouraged me to start migrating her to baby food more rapidly. Our first real attempt at this was with sweet potatoes. She was not sure what I was giving her but has warmed up to it quickly.
As you can see, Haley now LOVES her fruits and veggies. She went from eating maybe 1/4 of a package to eating the entire package in less than a week and a half. Look for a more "chubby" Haley in the coming weeks!
I said I would never post pictures of Haley with food on her face, but these were just too cute not to share!
Haley's First Lake Trip
Since we got married in 2002 Pops has been looking forward to having a grand baby that he could ride on his lap in the pontoon boat. He finally got his wish...
"Captain Ron" has some competition these days. The boat named "Southern Comfort" has a new captain...Little Miss Haley seemed mighty comfortable at the wheel of the pontoon boat at our first family lake trip.
Grandpa decided to feed Haley her rice cereal and it was quite the treat. He did a great job though and Haley loved every bit of it! (Note that she is "wearing" quite a bit of her food, but it was so great coming from grandpa)
Haley enjoyed spending some time with Uncle Andy at the lake on our boat ride...
After a fun-filled day at the lake, we all decided to throw a party in the bathroom prior to Haley's bath. It was quite fun!

Dress Up Week at Daycare
This week Haley's daycare had a theme for each day to have fun with the kids. Haley gets the award for 100% participation and making the best of each situation.
Monday was Hat Day and Haley decided to wear her sun hat for the day.
Tuesday was Class Colors Day-their class color was yellow so she wore her Berry Farm onesie to celebrate.
Wednesday was Clashing Clothes Day-Haley won the award for worst matched clothes for sure!
Thursday was Pajama Day/Teacher Appreciation Day. Haley wore her house coat and owl pj's that day. As you can see in the photo, obviously the pj's were making her not want to wake up so she had her "serious" look for this photo. I also made a homemade cheese dip and a selection of breads for the teacher appreciation luncheon that was held. Everyone loved the dip so I was really proud that I impressed all those women with my culinary skills! :)
Friday was Crazy Hair Day. The class teachers thought that Haley could not participate since she does not have hair, but boy did we prove them wrong! Everyone thought it was so funny when she showed up with her little wig on! We also took the teachers a small bouquet of roses from the yard to thank them for doing such a great job with Haley.

It sure was a "hoppy" Easter this year!
We had so much fun taking Haley's Easter pictures this year. My really good friend Blane took them for us and he did a wonderful job. The photo shoot was complete with live chicks and a baby duck too! The look on her face when she saw that baby duck was priceless. I decided to design a collage of the photos to share but also wanted you all to see some of the individual shots as well. We worked really hard to coordinate our outfits for the day. Haley behaved at church Sunday and earned the award for the best baby in the room. She admired Grandma Parsons' cheesy potatoes and whispered to me that she couldn't wait to dig into those when she starts on solid foods! Mema came up on Sunday night and spent a couple of days also. It was great to see my mom and she was so happy to meet the teachers at Haley's daycare as well. Haley even made plastic eggs filled with candy for her Grandma and Grandpa, Mema and Papa, and each of her teachers at school! Monday, March 30, 2009
Time Flies-Haley is 4 months!
I can't believe Haley is already 4 months old!! Time flies with a baby that is for sure. She is getting so strong too! Just a few weeks ago she was still struggling to keep her head up but look at her now! She is consistently showing that she is a big girl and can hold her head up on her own.
She is such a happy girl and smiles all of the time. It is so rewarding to see her respond to us speaking to her with a smile.
She is starting to grasp things (and shake them violently). She loves her activity mat and all of the "dangly things" that she can grab at.
We decided to take a "family shot" on her 4 month birthday. I know, we need a professional shot, but this one was pretty fun, especially if you see the series of about 6 that we took!
She loves her little Georgia rattle so much...
She already has her daddy wrapped around her little finger, but with a face like that, it is not surprising!
She loves her two little "lovies", Pooh and Bonnie the Long Eared Rabbit. She loves to feel of the textures and rattle them.
I didn't think photos of Haley and I exist, but we are trying to make sure we capture some of our special mommy/daughter times.
Just had to put this photo on because I am sure we will see many more of this sly little "I didn't do it" look from her in years to come.
Mike and I are so very blessed to have such a beautiful little girl to call our own.
